Scoop & Bake Dinner Rolls

Ingredients

2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
2 1/4 tsp yeast
1 cup water 110 degrees
6 tbs salted butter, softened
1 large egg


Directions

Adjust oven rack to center, heat to 200 degrees for 10 minutes and turn off. Whisk 1 1/4 cup flour, sugar, salt & yeast in a large bowl. Whisk in water, butter and egg until smooth.

Add remaining flour and mix with rubber spatula until combined. Cover bowl with greased plastic, wrap and place in warm oven until double, about 30 minutes.

Remove batter from oven and heat to 350 degrees. Punch dough down, scoop batter evenly into muffin tins (use ice cream scoop). Cover with greased plastic and let rise at room temperature until double or reaches rims of muffin cups - 15 minutes. Remove plastic and bake until golden, about 14 - 18 minutes. Serve/
